Your Inner Little Prince

You’re meant to be a king—but instead there’s an unruly little prince running your life. This is what Jen Sincero argues in her book, You Are a Badass at Making Money. She explains how most of us fail to live the greatness we’re called to because we are held back by a collection of limiting beliefs absorbed during childhood. This is what she calls the “little prince.”

Your little prince might tell you things like:

  • If you try something new, you’ll look stupid.

  • If you do what you want, you’ll get in trouble.

  • If you say what you think, people won’t like you.

  • etc.

All of us have our own unique versions of the little prince, who is just a scared little child trying to keep us safe. But we are adults and much stronger and more capable than we used to be. This week I invite you to consider:

What areas of your life might be limited by your inner little prince? What early childhood experience might be the source of this limitation? What would it look like for you to step into your greatness and live like a king instead?

God bless,
Dan
